Yoga helps pre-teens and teens learn to quiet down and de-stress.  Yoga is also a great tool for building self-confidence and self-reliance.  It teaches students to honor themselves and their bodies.  Yoga students learn to appreciate their bodies for all they can do rather than for how they look.  Yoga teaches students that they are strong.  Yoga students learn to be flexible -- on and off their mats.
